BACKGROUND
The ancient
history of Manang Bhot is based on hearsay.
The history of this district is
related with the history of lamjung , which lies to its south.
Maximum area of the district was independent state under the Ghale rule, before falling under Lamjung.
The state extended up to Mustang
District district in the west , Sukha khola of of Chame khola in the east,
Tibet in the north and Annapurna and Lamjung in the south. Ghale kings had made
a palace locally called 'KHUYONG' between Ngawal and Ghyaru hill. Its remnants
can be found atop the hill. Ghale people are supposed to be desended of same
ghale kings. They arev desended of khursani ghale and banar ghale.
Lama priest from NAR and PHU VDCs
should come to perform death rituals if anyone dies among Khursani Ghale and
Banar Ghale's family otherwise lama
priest will get punishment according to the term and condition.
