The area four boundaries,altitude from the sea level , longitude, latitude and the like of this district are already presented in the map.       Lamjung district is known for the origin of the dohori songs,capital of Dura culture,centre of dura people and the place of lending for consciousness. Overthrowing the old concept that the Brahmins should not plough the land,Shesakant Adhikari, Toyanath Adhikari, and other 30 brahmins had ploughed the land in 2006 B.S. This is also the birth place of the national poet , Madhab pd Ghimire and otjher great warriors of the different period. Lamjung is famous and rich for gurung culture and historically famous for the rising place of shah dynasty. Situated in the bank of marsyandi river,BESISAHAR the district headquater is 42km north from Dumre on the prithivi highway , 66km north-east from the tourist city,Pokhara and 175 km west fron Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.
