    Khaptad area, popularly known as the ''HEAVEN OF THE EARTH'' with vast beautiful grassland, Mt saipal , the second highest peak of Far Western Nepal,famous surma sarohar hill and other historical ,religious and tourist centers etc has increased the importance of the district . Bhagang is also famous as it is the land of the then king jaya prithivi bahadur singh, humanist, lover of education and information and whose contribution is remembered till today. The second largest state among Baise and Chaubise states after jumla the then bajhang includes talikot,thalari, bajural, kundikote etc which were called charthami and char acchami . Chainpur Bazar , the district headquarters of dadeldhura , linked by 110 km lon road that goes via north khopde . Similarly, chainpur bazzar is 257 km north from attariya chowk, on the east-west mahendra highway and 906km west from capital city kathmandu.Scheduled and chartered flights to nepaljung  dhangadhi etc are available from chain airport.
